A few quick answers
What kind of reference photo works best?
Start with one person in good light, with their arms and legs visible. Very small subjects, heavy cropping and hidden joints make detection harder. The current beta focuses on body pose, not facial expressions, fingers or exact camera perspective.
Why can’t Posey find the person?
Try a clearer reference or give the camera a better view of your subject. Keep one person in frame and move back enough to show the joints needed for the pose. You can also try the example pose to explore the guide.
How do I enable the camera?
Open iPhone Settings, find Posey under Apps, and enable Camera. Return to Posey. A real iPhone is needed for the live camera.
How do I save a photo?
After taking a photo, tap Save photo on the review screen. Allow Posey to add photos when iOS asks. If access was denied, enable photo access in Settings and try saving again. Your saved photo has no guide overlay.
What do the guide and tips mean?
The guide shows the reference pose. Live tips highlight an area to adjust; a green guide indicates a close pose match. These are approximate suggestions, not a guarantee of the same photo. Your framing, viewpoint and subject still matter.
Can I mirror or move the pose?
Yes. Use the guide controls to mirror the reference or change its position and size. The front camera preview is mirrored, while saved photos are unmirrored.
Where can I download Posey?
Posey is currently in private TestFlight testing. It is not yet available on the App Store. Contact support if you have a question about access.
Do I need an account?
No. Private camera use needs no account. Sign in with Apple is optional for community contributions, reports and public profiles. Photo selection and pose analysis still happen on your iPhone. Read our privacy policy for details.
